What you will be doing:
The Business Development Manager will drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding relationships with customers, distributors, resellers, and technology partners within the security camera and video technology industry. This role will work closely with sales, product, and technical teams to evaluate solutions, identify customer and market needs, and support the integration and commercialization of new products and technologies.

What your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Develop and execute OEM partnership strategies to drive revenue growth and expand product offerings
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new OEM partners aligned with company goals and market demand
  • Lead OEM contract negotiations, including pricing, SLAs, exclusivity, and distribution terms
  • Drive revenue through OEM channels by supporting pipeline development and deal execution
  • Forecast OEM revenue and track performance against targets
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to evaluate growth and performance
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with OEM partners and key stakeholders
  • Define technical requirements, specifications, and integration standards in collaboration with OEM customers, and partner with R&D to design and customize solutions that meet OEM product specifications
  • Partner with product management and engineering teams to align OEM requirements for product customization
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and implementation plans for different technical stakeholders including R&D team members
  • Monitor OEM partner financial performance, including invoicing, payment status, and account health
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment delays with partner finance teams
  • Collaborate with internal finance to reconcile discrepancies, manage credit exposure, and reduce DSO
  • Maintain technical and business documentation, including integration guides, contracts, and partner requirements
  • Provide regular reporting on OEM pipeline, revenue performance, and integration progress
  • Use data-driven insights to refine OEM strategy and improve outcomes

What you will need:
  • 5+ years of experience in OEM business development, technical partnerships, or systems integration in the security industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of security cameras, video management systems, networking, video technologies, and related security solutions, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to customer and business needs.
  • Proven track record of identifying growth opportunities and building, developing, and scaling relationships with OEMs, strategic partners, customers, distributors, and resellers.
  • Ability to bridge business opportunities and technical solutions, evaluate technologies, support solution integration, and translate market and customer needs into actionable business and product strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, partnership development, and contract management skills, with the ability to establish mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, product, engineering, and technical teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to independently drive initiatives from opportunity identification through execution and results.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to remain seated or in a stationary position for approximately 50% of the workday, as needed.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods depending on job duties.
  • Regularly operates a computer and may use other work-related equipment or machinery.
  • Frequently performs repetitive movements, including flexing or rotating the wrists and spine.
  • Regularly receives detailed information through verbal communication and participates in ongoing conversations and discussions.
  • Ability to maintain clear vision at near and/or far distances as required to perform job duties.
  • May occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and varying noise levels.
  • May be required to travel up to 50% of the time, depending on the position and business needs.
